A client program breaks apart a scanned document into small snippets of information to and transmits these snippets individually to the Snippet++ Backend Server. At no point does the full document get transmitted and stored in the cloud; only the snippets are transmitted. On their own, the snippets have no meaning and thus they protect the privacy of the source document.
